What are DogRocks?

Dog Rocks® are a product mined in Australia that helps prevent those nasty yellow urine burn stains appearing on your lawn. Dog Rocks® have been laboratory tested and is safe for your pet(s).

Dog Rocks® filter out impurities from water such as Tin, ammonia and nitrates. These impurities are usually passed out through urine, and when grass comes in contact with these elements it results in urine burn on grass, resulting in a dead, yellow patch on your lawn.

Dog Rocks® give your four legged friend a cleaner source of water, while eliminating urine burn on grass this will result in the stop of those nasty burnt yellow patches on your lawn.

Without the impurities in the water, Dog Rocks® actually help your dog fertilize your lawn! This is great for you, your dog & your lawn!

Remove the rocks from the bag and rinse.

Place no more than 2 liters (3.25 PT) of water in your dogs water bowl.

Add all the rinsed rocks to your dogs water bowl.

Recommended for best results:

  • Replace the Dog Rocks every 2 months (diary sticker is included).
  • Ensure your dog’s water bowl is your dog’s main water source. Drinking from pools, toilets, ponds and jacuzzies will hinder the results.
  • Top up rather than replace the water every day. When replacing the water, do so when the dog is least likely to consume large amounts, say at night before bed.

Dog Rocks WILL NOT help you mend already damaged grass, however you won’t see any new spots appear.
  • Dog’s with extremely high protein diets or that consume high protein treats on a daily basis may not get the full benefit of Dog Rocks.
  •
1 small pack of Dog Rocks is good in one dog’s water bowl for 2 months 1 bulk pack of Dog Rocks is good for one dog’s bowl for 6 months or multiple dogs bowls for 2 months.

FAQ's

Q1. How long does it take to start to work?
A. It takes 8-10 hours to start working in the water. You won’t see any difference in the rock when it’s working, that’s just tested. After that it is immediately effective and therefore no new burn patches will occur….however it won’t fix the old spots but with proper lawn maintenance you will see vast improvements in 5 weeks.

Q2. If the dog keeps taking the rock out of the bowl regardless of what you try, can the rocks be kept in a container of water and you fill the dogs bowl from that?
A. You need to be persistent with the dog for a little while but if he still continues this behaviour then…yes, a few people do this…it will work but not as well as if the rocks are kept in the same bowl the dog drinks from.

Q3. Has it been tested so we know it lasts approx. 2 months or is that just trial and error?
A. This is just trial and error over the 4.5 years of research before launching this to the market place. The patches will start appearing around the 2 month mark.

Q4. What are the reasons it may not work in the dog?
A. (a). If the dog is fed a diet of mainly raw red meat, this will hinder the productivity of dog rocks. High protein diets hinder it…. a diet of premium dry dog food is a perfect compliment to dog rocks.
(b). If your dog has more than one drinking source, eg. Pool, pond, fountain, jacuzzi, toilet, cat’s water bowl… dog rocks effectiveness is greatly diminished.
(c). It works weight to volume, so if you don’t follow the directions. If you use too little rocks per amount of water, or you empty the water bowl out all the time and don’t give the rocks a chance to work again. Top the water bowl up rather than replace the water everyday and then when needed, change the water when the dog is least likely to consume large amounts of water.

Q5. How long has it been on the market in other countries?
A.  The product was researched for 4 years and then went on the market. It has been on the market in Australia for 4 years, in New Zealand for 2 years & in the U.K. for 2 years. The U.K. and New Zealand have colder climates therefore find sales significantly increase with each spring and summer.  Australia, for the most part has moderate climate changes, therefore sales stay similar year round.

Q6. Are dog rocks safe for other animals who may share the same water bowl?
A.  Yes, dog rocks are safe for all animals

Q7.  Is dog rocks an all natural product?
A. Yes, dog rocks comes right from the ground. The only intervention it has had is that it runs through a grader in order to size the rocks to prevent choking. It is packaged in all natural, eco friendly bags and boxes. From the earth and back to the earth after usage…
